HOW TO SAVE YOURSELF AND RESTORE YOUR BODY’S RESERVES?



The listeners of the UTRPI received answers to this urgent question during the online seminar “Psychological stress and ways to overcome it under martial law” (February 16, 2024), held for employees of the security forces.

In his introductory speech to the audience, the acting director of the UTRPI, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Honored Journalist of Ukraine Glib Golovchenko noted that the work of security forces has always been directly related to stress, and the full-scale war increased it even more.

According to last year researches about 88 percent of Ukrainians have a high or very high level of stress. So today we can say that employees of the security forces not only work in stressful conditions, but also, like the vast majority of Ukrainians, live in a constant state of stress, communicate with other people who are also mostly in a stressful state. That is why understanding ways to overcome psychological stress is an important issue. So, I hope that this workshop will help you deal with the stress of martial law, which in turn will not only improve your work efficiency, but also improve the quality of your life in general. According to the feedback of the listeners, Viktor Rybachenko, a lecturer of the UTRPI, vice-president of the Association of Political Psychologists of Ukraine, professor of the KNU of Culture and Art, an honored cultural worker of Ukraine, had an extraordinarily frank and trusting communication with the audience. Viktor Rybachenko offered the participants of the educational training several measurements of indicators of stress levels and reactions of the human body to it.

In the course of communication, the reasons for the formation and power sources of various states of anxiety and its attacks were analyzed using specific examples. The test measurement, in which the listeners took part, gave the training participants the opportunity to establish their strong and weak manifestations of psychological and physiological ability to resist stress, neutralize possible negative consequences of its influence.
