Higher education of Ukraine in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery



Acting Director of the UTRPI, Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Glib Golovchenko took part in the joint meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences “Higher Education of Ukraine in the conditions of martial law and post-war recovery”.

The National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine informs that, based on the fruitful partnership and the urgent need to strengthen cooperation between the scientific institutions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, among other things, decided:

– To mark the solidarity and assistance of the Government of the Republic of Poland, the Committee of Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Polish educational institutions of all levels to the citizens of Ukraine, children, students, scientific and pedagogical workers who found refuge in Poland during these difficult times for the Ukraine of Russian aggression against of Ukraine.

– Condemn the armed aggression, the unleashing of a full-scale war by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, gross violation of the principles and norms of international law against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the genocide of the Ukrainian people.

– Consider the experience and prospects of solving the problem of implementing open science standards in the activities of higher education institutions and scientific institutions in Poland and Ukraine.

– To initiate joint events (seminars, round tables, webinars) regarding the exchange of experience in overcoming the “qualification gap” in the labor market of graduates of higher education institutions and mechanisms for overcoming it.

– To hold a round table with educators and scientists of Poland and Ukraine on the problem of the architectonica of education in the conditions of the fifth industrial revolution (Industry 5.0).

– Hold the X Ukrainian-Polish / Polish-Ukrainian scientific forum “Education for the digital transformation of society”.

“Despite the fact that the war in Ukraine continues, it is already the time to discuss not only the problems of today, but also looking into the future, planning where and how we want to be after the end of hostilities, how we want to see higher education in the post-war period and such cooperation with our Polish colleagues is a great opportunity to develop this vision and receive support from our colleagues in this process,” noted Glib Golovchenko.
