Application of international humanitarian law in conditions of armed conflict



On March 25, 2024, a training course for civil servants of the The State Committee for Television and Radio-Broadcasting of Ukraine under the general short-term program “Application of international humanitarian law in conditions of armed conflict” began at the Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press Workers (UTRPI).

The acting director of the UTRPI, Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Honored Journalist of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Glib Golovchenko addressed the listeners with a welcome speech. He wished the listeners to use the acquired knowledge in practice for the development of our state and society.

The curator of the course is Maria Dmytrieva, deputy head of the department of training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in the implementation of state programs of the UTRPI, a national expert on gender issues.

During the training course, listeners will study the following topics:

– foundations of international humanitarian law;

– Humanitarian Charter and Sphere;

– training on “Gender issues during war: communicative aspects”.
