On October 15, 2024, the training course under the “Communications in the field of gender equality” program for employees of the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who are responsible for communications with media, ended at the Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press Workers.

The curator of the course is Maria Dmytrieva, deputy head of the department of the Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press Workers, a national expert on gender issues.
During the training, students gained knowledge on the following topics:
- Basics of gender issues.
- Sexism and misogyny. Forms of violence against women. Sexual violence is associated with conflict.
- Linguistic tools for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.
- National legal framework for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men. Action plan for the implementation of the Communication Concept in the field of gender equality.
- The international legal framework for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men
- Women and men in the mirror of the Ukrainian media.
- Gender-sensitive communication policy.
After graduation, the trainees successfully completed the test tasks and received state certificates.
