The training course “Video Editing in Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve” has been launched at the Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press Workers for servicemen of the Department of the State Guard (DSG) of Ukraine and employees of the “Kyivinform” company.

The opening of the course was attended by Glib Golovchenko, Director of the Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press Workers (UTRPI), Honored Journalist of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine; Valentyna Savitska, temporarily acting head of the international cooperation and communication department of the Department of the State Guard (DSG) of Ukraine and Mykola Mozhenko, course leader, certified trainer for Apple, Adobe and Blackmagic Design companies in video editing and color correction programs Final Cut Pro 7, Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, teacher of the Ukrainian Institute for Advanced Training of Television, Radio Broadcasting and Press Workers (UTRPI).

During the welcome speech, the director of the UTRPI Glib Golovchenko noted that “today, the creation of video materials has become an integral part of the work of almost all industries. And this is understandable, because it has long been proven that a person perceives audiovisual information much better than ordinary text. So, when we want to inform our citizens, it is quite difficult to do it without using video. And today you can shoot a video on any smartphone. The situation with video editing is a little more complicated. And this is exactly what our course today is aimed at.”

Valentyna Savitska, temporarily acting head of the international cooperation and communication department of the Department of the State Guard (DSG) of Ukraine, in her speech to the course participants, emphasized that today electronic gadgets and work with them take first place in the activities of communicators. Valentyna Savitska thanked the leadership of the UTRPI for the prompt response to the request of the Department of the State Guard (DSG) of Ukraine regarding the training of officers in video editing programs. “We hope that after the officers master the video editing course, we will receive specialists who will do their work at an even more professional level,” said Valentyna Savitska.

The instructor of the video editing course, Mykola Mozhenko, noted that he is happy to work with a new audience and will make every effort to ensure that the participants of the course master the video editing programs Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve at a professional level and be able to use them in their professional activities.
